While Ray was out gallivanting thru the Grand Tetons our valiant fencers went to work in Houston.

Travis was down coaching our fencers and reports his #1 highlight to be “watching Madison finally start to get in touch with her inner warrior. She was a bit timid in her pool bouts but after Kristina and I reassured her that wanting to crush your opponents like bugs does not make you a bad person she had a really good DE. She lost the first encounter and had to be reminded that it’s OK to want to stab your opponent. She won the second encounter. The third encounter she took to la bell touche but, alas, the point didn’t land on that final touch. But even so, it was still great to see her really engage and I think she felt good about how she fenced.”
